Saturday is semifinals day at the 47th ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament. Play starts at 1pm with a doubles match, featuring the great French duo Pierre-Hugues Herbert/Nicolas Mahut versus Raven Klaasen/Oliver Marach.
Singles matches will follow starting 3pm when the Canadian rising star Felix Auger-Aliassime steps on centre court with Pablo Carreno Busta, a winner of four ATP titles. Auger-Aliassime, the world No.21, and the 28-year old Carreno Busta meet for the first time.
As per usual the evening session commences at 7:30pm. Defending champion Gaël Monfils will fight for a ticket to the final with Filip Krajinovic from Serbia. The French world No.9 leads the head-to-head 2-0. The duo met last week in the semifinals in Montpellier.
"It’s going to be very difficult against Gaël. He’s in great shape, but everything is possible,” Krajinovic said after his stunning victory over Andrey Rublev in the quarterfinals.
The last match of the day is a doubles encounter with Jan-Lennard Struff and Henri Kontinen taking on Rohan Bopanna/Denis Shapovalov.
