Given the current epidemiological picture and the associated measures, it is impossible that an audience can be present. It has been decided to postpone the tickets already sold to the 49th edition in 2022 (5 - 13 February 2022).

The players of the ATP Tour are also eager to play after months with fewer tournaments. We therefore expect a nice, strong and broad field of participants as you are used to from us. We have already made a good start with Daniil Medvedev, the number 3 in the world, Australian Open finalist and winner of the Nitto ATP Finals. You can find the updated list of players on our players page
Will the tournament continue?
The tournament itself will take place on the new date: from March 1 to March 7, 2021.
Will there still be good players if the rules remain so strict?
The players of the ATP are now used to live in a so-called bubble and play tournaments that way. That will also be the case with us, many strict measures that make it possible for the players to come to Rotterdam and play safely. Moreover, the cabinet has made exceptions for top sport. This means that the tournament, which is registered as an ATP500 tournament, may continue and players may also be flown in for this.
How do you do that with the organization itself? A lot of people are involved in that too?
The organization also has strict measures that guarantee the safety of all those involved. For example, people working in Ahoy are tested and there is a very strict separation between various groups of people. On that basis it is allowed to organize the event. For example, you can compare this with matches in other professional sports events.
What could prevent the tournament from happening?
Actually only a government decision or if travel is not possible. If no players can come, there is no tournament. Otherwise, we assume that organizing is possible.
Why do you now decide to move the cards to 2022? We still have a month and a half until the start and the vaccinations have started?
Given the current epidemiological picture and the associated measures, it is less and less obvious that a substantial audience can be present. We also see a reluctance to reopen major events. Given the required preparation time, it has been decided to postpone the tickets already sold to the 49th edition in 2022. This way, every fan has the certainty that he / she can attend the tournament next year at the place and the day he / she wants. We also know for sure that we can offer every visitor a top experience.
Who is in charge of safety around the tournament?
We comply with many guidelines from the ATP, the municipality, the safety region and the national government. By the way, they are now convinced that the measures can nowhere be complied with as well as at larger organized events, because we already have so much experience with safety.
Can I get in touch with the players?
The players are less accessible than in other years. They remain more at a distance in connection with prevention measures, the bubbles. But of course we will organize a few things online. You can read all about it in our daily online daily bulletin.
I bought tickets at the ticket office of Ahoy and therefore left no details, what about my tickets?
If you bought your tickets at our cash register, we have no information about you. Please contact the organization at info@abnamrowtt.nl so that we can note your details and keep you informed of all developments and send you new tickets for 2022.
What if an audience can still come at last-minute?
In the event that this turns out to be possible, the people who already have tickets will be contacted. As capacity is expected to be limited, this will be announced at a later stage. We contact everyone we know already have tickets by email, but be sure to keep an eye on our website and socials for the latest updates. If you bought your tickets at the box office last year, please send an email with your ticket details to info@abnamrowtt.nl so that we can add you to our mailing list.
I had already bought tickets for this year. Should tickets for 2021 still be released, will I be the first to get access to these?
