Het ABN AMRO World Wheelchair Tennis Tournament maakt deel uit van de NEC Wheelchair Tour.en wordt gehouden onder auspiciën van de International Tennis Federation itftennis.com/wheelchair.

De ITF juicht het initiatief van ABN AMRO rond het in 2009 gestartte internationale toernooi van harte toe. Francesco Ricci Bitti, President van de ITF: “The ITF are delighted that wheelchair tennis will feature again in 2010 during the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam and that the top male wheelchair players will competye alongside the ATP Tour players. A tournament such as this helps raise the profile of wheelchair tennis and increases the media interest in the players and the sport. I would like to thank the tournament organisers once again for their vision in embracing this aspect of tennis”.
